 This is the the very rare Hair Happenin' Barbie, released in 1971. At first this Doll was thought to be a Sears exclusive only, but History showed she was also available at other Department Stores. She was only produced for one year and is difficult to find.
History also showed that this Doll was simply an afterthought at the Factory and at first was not planned on beeing manufactured. She was added at the last minute at the end of that year's Production Run, which is another Reason why this Doll is so rare. She was produced with 2 different vinyls, one was the TNT Vinyl which is prone to those pale marks we all know so well, and the other vinyl was the waxy kind which over time turned to a yellowish shade.
This is the Version with the waxy vinyl. This Doll is simply gorgeous whith all original make-up with no fading,
all lashes are present as well. She has no earringholes. She has beautiful, copper hair with no missing plugs and none that is cut. Her Body has no paling, pin pricks or chew marks. Joints and Waist are tight ! Knees click properly. Her Nail polish has faded from age. She comes nude and is ready to be displayed in all those great Mod
